PPSG is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the community of Parkinson's patients, caregivers and their friends and families since 1981. Originally organized to serve the San Mateo Peninsula and referred to as the Peninsula Parkinson's Support Groups, they have since expanded their service area to serve the communities of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, such that they have found it necessary to change their name to Parkinson's Patients Support Groups, Inc.  PPSG supports the Parkinson's community by sharing information about the latest treatments, events, and legislation regarding Parkinson's disease. They also give recognition to caregivers and volunteers with annual luncheons acknowledging their contributions. They contribute to the success of local support groups by helping to put patients and caregivers in touch with local support groups.
